I see the new comment box. Does this mean that we cannot use our current identities when the transition is complete? Guest commenting is back, wasn't there a reason why it was removed? It would be nice to have some more info about how things will be when the old comment system disappears.

But yes, what Fen said above, thought there was a reason to require logins to comment. And if not require, at least allow, by using the account here, not linking with something else!

One of my favorite things about izi was the way the comment system worked. I like that logging in restricts comments, & I like the random avatars. Hell, I even enjoy Mr. Ree. This change will not be for the better...
