Compilation of great pictures after the jump. ![]() Candyland, for those who don’t know (not a lot I think), is one of the most popular board games in the United States, kind of a cultural icon. Well, Candyland has come to life for a day in San Francisco last week, and not in a small version. To celebrate the 60th birthday of the game, Lombard Street was transformed on Wednesday, August 19th into a life-sized game of Candyland. Only children from UC San Francisco Children’s Hospital and the nonprofit Friends of the Children were competing. And last thing, at the end of the game, there was a delicious cake for all. Thanks. ![]() At the Venice Biennale, a contemporary work of art was presented under the title Life Span - a huge block of 195.774 VHS tapes. Their duration is 66 years, or in other words, they can record the life of a person. It is a physical representation of what people can see during their lifetime, from birth til death. I'm impressed! ![]() It is not easy to imagine cartoon characters real but this artistic work gives us a glimpse of their look. Some of them look real creepy, especially Homer Simpson.
