These scanning electron microscope photos of insects and spiders look like pictures of aliens from scary movies.
A meal (or flour) mite
When lots of people tend to say that Avatar is nothing more than another Pocahontas, someone saw in the last Cameron’s movie lots of similarities with ‘Alien’.
Indeed, it seems those two movies have a lot in common, so let’s see in what they are the same.
Warning: those of you who haven’t seen these two blockbusters (if it’s possible…) should skip this post as it reveals some important aspects of the movies.
These drawings represent some cartoonish alien life forms that might be encountered on other planets in our solar system. They may seem unreal, but who’s to say that they aren’t as right as anybody else’s guess. No one knows for sure ;)
Here’s the little riddle of the day: can you say what this is?
Do you remember the adventures of Winnie the Pooh? Well, the author of the “masterpiece” in this post must have had too much time on their hands to create the book “Alien vs Pooh”. Still the drawings are not that bad in this scary fairy tale most likely written for adults.
The idea of this Alien Bar belongs to the Swiss artist H.R.Giger. He actually themed and modeled two Bars (they are also called Skeleton Bars) in Switzerland. The decorations in both bars are kind of creepy and mysterious. The environment reminds me of Aliens movies. Would you enjoy hanging out with your friends here?
There is such a rare and terrible disease Progeria - premature aging at an early age.
One gene mutates and affects the whole organism. Those born with progeria typically live about thirteen years, although many have been known to live into their late teens and early twenties and rare individuals may even reach their forties.
The disorder has a very low incidence and occurs in one per eight million live births.
Here’s Leon Botha, a guy who has progeria and who’s already 24 years old.
No one knows how many years he will live.
It’s not funny, but he really has this alien look…
