Attach a hanger to the hotel lock to keep the door open while you bring in your luggage.

Wrap a belt up and stick it inside a button up so the collar keeps its shape.

If traveling internationally, just bring one adapter and a power strip so you don’t need multiple for all your devices.

Put saran wrap under the lids of liquids to prevent things from exploding in your suitcase.

Hotel tv remotes get touched by a whole lot of people, and who knows how often that shit gets cleaned. If it grosses you out, use one of the little trash can liners to wrap it up.

Cheat the hotel power switches that force you to put your room key in the slot by putting a piece of paper or another card in. It works.

Use a binder clip to protect your razor while traveling.

Set your phone up on a crushed soda can to watch tv without holding it.

Use a sunglasses case to keep all of your cords so they don’t get tangled in your stuff.

Use a plastic file folder to keep things crisp that wrinkle easily.

Warm up the little butter packets at hotel breakfast by setting them on the toaster while your bread cooks.

Attach your keys to your phone charger so you don’t forget it when you leave the hotel.

If you’re not going to be gone very long and don’t want to lug around big bottles, put lotions and other stuff in a contact container.

If you don’t have your computer, stick your phone in a plastic bag and hang it from the seat to watch a movie.

If the curtains in a hotel room don’t close all the way, keep the light of day from seeping in by clipping them closed with a hanger.

There’s never enough counter space at hotels, so use the iron as a place to spread your shit out.

If you forget the wall portion of your charger, the back of most hotel tvs have a usb port you can use.

Don’t have a bottle opener? Most hotel doors will take care of that for you.

If a hotel room doesn’t have a fridge, keep your booze (and other drinks, I guess) cold by filling the bathroom sink with ice and using it as a makeshift cooler.

Or use the little trash can and fill it with ice from the machine.

Nowhere sanitary to stash your toothbrush in the hotel? Take a paper cup and stab right through it.

If your hotel doesn't have a nightstand, a simple fold in the sheets can come in handy.

I had some screw-in dimmers that would sit between the lamp and the fixture. It sets a bit better mood in the room

I don't get the hygiene part where you don't use the remote control but the trash can and the sink are ok. People aren't aware of all the bacteria resistence. Is more likely you just wash your hands than they wash the bin properly.
