Sadly, the ending wasn’t a happy one for him. Hunter was left severely disfigured and the formerly handsome young man now lives with a severely scarred face, a prosthetic nose and leg. Hunter’s story is about to be re-written and the brave soldier just might get his happy ending after all. He has received approval for a face transplant by the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
