It is difficult to believe by looking at these pictures that all of them were in orphan houses and nobody cared about them. It is hard to believe that they looked completely different… Look the way they were when their adoptive parents saw them for the first time. A little time has passed and now these boys and girls are unrecognizable! It’s a real miracle…
It happens sometimes that when people take pictures they see some faces or something that slightly resembles a human silhouette etc. on them later. And of course, the first thing they say – it’s a ghost! Well, I’m not an expert, but as for me, I think that it is just the coincidental effect of darkness and light which combined together gives this optical illusion. Plus pareidolia (e.g. seeing images of animals or faces in clouds) plays a big role in it.
I’ve already mentioned in the Curiosities yesterday that I watched Watchmen last weekend and that I didn’t like it much. It seems that I’m not the only one, other people have the same opinion as I do. And so, they made these works in Photoshop, very funny. There was a Photoshop contest on gizmodo with a topic of how to ruin this movie in a hilarious way.
Pulpit Rock is situated in Norway. It’s a massive cliff of 1982 feet above Lysefjorden. There is a trail from the Pulpit Rock lodge through different mountain landscapes, which are splendid. You can get a gig adrenaline dose too at this height.
For the most part, all these celebrities and/or stars of cinema are very much alike, some of them share common features, can be said to be brothers or sisters, and the others, well, their likeness is a bit humorous ;)
Prypiat is an abandoned city in the zone of alienation in northern Ukraine, Kiev Oblast, near the border with Belarus. It was home to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant workers. One Argentinean family had a very interesting idea. They made one picture per year of themselves. The first photographs were taken back in 1976. It is interesting to see how they change physically over the years.
400,000 people turned out to watch the largest gay pride march in the Asia Pacific wind its way through the city's Oxford Street gay district. Around 10,000 marchers took part in the parade. And there was a lot to see, a great show ;)
Everyday I spend a lot of time in the internet and watch thousands of pictures. But it’s the first time I found big beautiful pictures from Japan. After the jump you will see a good series of pictures from the life of the Japanese.
Here’s a great selection with firefighters, cops etc who don’t do their job good ;) Of course, the most part of it is tricked but still, very funny. We’ve posted recently another series of pictures about Military humor, if you didn’t see it, you should really check this out ;)
Great picture collection from Naoya Hatakeyama. In his “Blast” series of photographs, Naoya Hatakeyama uses remote-control cameras to capture the drama and destruction of Japan’s limestone blasting operations from point-blank range.
There are always some people who like to throw something at celebrities: politicians, movie stars or Bill Gates ) They throw anything that they can find: different liquids, cakes, eggs, water. An interesting series of pictures is waiting for you after the jump.
Mother Nature has given these animals the gift to be “invisible” at the right moment. Some of them need it to hide from predators, others, on the contrary – hunt. Look attentively at these pictures, it is really difficult to spot some of them ;)
