After hair, makeup, and wardrobe they emerge looking glamorous and very much like the movie stars and models they truly are. The women of Belarus are truly beautiful. After they have their picture taken from every angle imaginable, they have a quick meal and then return to their street clothes to go home and await that every so important phone call that will inform them if they made the cut or not. Incredible photo essay of a photographer Luiz Santos who made this project in order to show the situation of women in Brazil prisons and their children that live with them in prison and who are exposed to “violence, drug use and poor hygiene.”
A prisoner has arrived one day prior my first day in the prison. On visit days she is kept locked in a small pavilion as she does not have friends or relatives in town. Some prisoners are from distant villages and relatives cannot afford to travel to the prison. Some others are simply abandoned.

This is really horrible. Faces of these women were mutilated by acid, and this is the work of bastards who call themselves men. This is such a strange way of solving problems (or revenge) in Pakistan.

This underwear looks normal with the lights on, but glows in the dark when the lights are off.
There is one problem though which is always the same with glowing stuff - it has to be exposed to light to glow in the dark! So, women wearing that underwear will always have to ‘parade’ some time under the lights before the night activities for the effect to work then in the dark… Not very convenient but men won’t mind to see women in lingerie a bit longer… :))
