Deepfake – highly realistic fake videos, audio recordings, or photos that have typically been generated by deep learning AI algorithms. The algorithm is able to generate synthetic audio of that person’s voice saying things they have never said, or videos of that person doing things they have never done.
And Internet should never learn to use these!
It started with a photo of a spectator at the Boston Marathon, who wanted to motivate the people of Boston on their 26.2 mile run by reminding them of the Patriots Super Bowl comeback win. Twitter user Abdul Dremali captured the scene and was later asked by ESPN to use the photo with a courtesy. That’s when things started to get real…
These photos are taken at the Heart Attack Grill, a restaurant known for its hospital theme, giant burgers which are obviously meant to kill their clients and "slutty nurses." Looking at these you can feel your veins harden.
