British Defense Secretary Liam Fox called Afghanistan “a broken 13th-century country” when he visited it. His words drew fire on him. This happened not because he was wrong, but because he was way too blunt. Actually, Liam Fox wasn’t the first person to call Afghanistan a medieval country. There were people who labeled local inhabitants “barbarians with a 1200 A.D. mentality”. Many people really think that Afghanistan is an ungovernable land with chaos that would never make it out of the Middle Ages.
Still there were times when Afghanistan was a nice country where women could pursue careers in medicine, where people could go to the movies and work on the factories. This country used to produce many goods. It had a government that was able to undertake national infrastructure projects. People believed they had a future, but all their hopes were destroyed by 30 years of war.
The Google Earth satellite photos in this post are quite unusual. In the cities, the buildings look like they are leaning and in the country there is everything from crop circles to human figures. There are even people who put the strangest things on their roofs. They are unusual photos to say the least.
International Wildlife Conservation Organization has announced the winners of its photography contest devoted to wildlife protection. You can see all the works created by contest participants and winners. Many of these photographs are simply stunning, but some are very dramatic.

This collection of unpublished photos of Adolf Hitler shows that the well-known leader of the Nazi Party had some good character traits. Or maybe he was just pretending for the cameras?
The drawings and photos in the post are truly creative. Some are normal and some are abstract but they all are amazing. They represent the wild imagination of the artist. It is remarkable what the human mind can come up with.
It’s not necessary to follow fashion or modern tendencies. It’s important to be yourself and do what you want to do right here and right now. See this collection of impressive photos of people who stand out in the crowd.
When you and your partner share the same interests, it can add some fun to your lives. This couple, for example, knows how to diversify their leisure time. Sarah and Thad Lawrence use Photoshop to create surreal photos and document their relationship in this hilarious way. All pictures are funny and ingenious!
I love great photos of nature, but the works by Saul Santos Diaz are truly magical! The contrast and color make me breathless. Even if he digitally manipulates his works after taking the pictures, I am still in love with these unearthly beautiful photographs!

These wedding photos prove that what can go wrong will go wrong. The problem with most of them is that there is usually someone or something in the background that is unexpected. But, at least they are funny.

Tokyo is the city of lights. At least, it’s the way I see it when I look at the pictures of Tokyo at night. In this collection of photos, you’ll see the capital of the Land of the Rising Sun during the day, evening, morning and at night. No matter when, the city is just beautiful.
I thought that this UFO hysteria already passed ten years ago. Apparently, no, people are still seeing in birds or lens dust mysterious flying saucers.
The pictures are interesting indeed, but I can’t believe that some of them were taken seriously.
People should stop watching V TV series ;) I love the show though
UFO Over Cornwall, England

Photographer Tom Phillips has created a unique series of shots, which he called “The Dead Photos”. On these photos, we can see dead men on the background of completely different landscapes. And the more the life on photos seems mundane, the more tragic seems the upside-down body lying on the pavement, in the desert or in the pool.
Philippe Ramette is a French artist. He lives and works in Paris.
He is a sculptor above all and creates objects which purpose lies not in their daily use but in the thought-provoking processes that they incur. He produced works such as 'Point de vue' (Installation, 1989) which is about "imagining what we could see." He creates improbable objects or situations, yet it is not to illustrate the absurd, but rather to build rationally an irrational image. Ramette himself takes part in his photos wearing a black suit, he makes an image where he will be an extravagant part of it and which will visually be just stunning. His photos don’t undergo any editing or any montage, as the artist seeks above all to keep in touch with his work as a sculptor.
Based on the photos in this post, it would seem that the month of May brings out the best and the worst in people. From times of utter jubilation to the depths of despair, the month of May seems to have it all. One would think that in springtime, all would be glorious.
