When a body of the dead lion arrived in Stockholm it was nothing more than skin and bones, and considering that the taxidermist had never seen a lion before, it was not an easy job for him to do. This is how he imagined the lion and that’s why it looks like it does, though he put a considerable amount of effort into the job.
