Artist Gypsie Raleigh from Portland, Oregon is the author behind these “gleefully dark and whimsical” comics. When asked what inspired her, she said, “My drawings have been inspired by everything from the deaths of people close to me, anxiety, and my own broken heart–to seeing an old bird cage or having a bad work day.”
Illustrator Karina Farek put together this funny serious of comics she called "Lust vs Love." I am sure some a lot of people experienced these situations and can relate to it.
Two lions Kahn and Shiela were used as attractions by an entertainment facility in Texas. They rented them for photo ops and parties. Both of them had been severely neglected and abused and were in a very bad shape. But Shiela’s condition was far worse than Khan’s and she would have probably died if they weren’t rescued by In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Education Center.
