Apparently, the year of 2016 will be the hottest year on record and the degrees will keep climbing. The global warming is accelerating and our goal now is to slow climate change down to be able to adapt to it. So, here is what the Earth could look like within 100 years of climate change.
This poster was created by Pop Chart Lab to trace "the trajectories of every orbiter, lander, rover, flyby, and impactor to ever slip the surly bonds of Earth’s orbit and successfully complete its mission." A great deal of work was done on this chart and it's worth seeing.
Kepler 452b is a rocky planet 1400 light years away from us that has 385 days a year and gravity that is roughly double ours. Based on these findings it is possible that the planet can support life.

German geophysicist, Dr. Alexander Gerst is living on the International Space Station and has taken the opportunity to take amazing photos of Earth while he is up there.
"NASA scientists say 2013 tied for the seventh warmest of any year since 1880, continuing a long-term trend of rising global temperatures. With the exception of 1998, the 10 warmest years in the 133-year record all have occurred since 2000, with 2010 and 2005 ranking as the hottest years on record."
