Haround Binous from Université de Lausanne, Switzerland is combining facial recognition AI, Photoshop, and historical references to revive all the Roman emperors, from Augustus to Valentinian III.
Swedish sculptor and archaeologist Oscar D. Nilsson scans skulls to make vinyl-plastic replicas with a 3D-printer. Then, sex, age, weight, and ethnicity are determined. After this, it’s all up to Nilsson, who hand-sculpts the faces, muscle by muscle using plasticine clay. Once that is done, a mold is made and the face is cast in silicon.

Mustafa Çankaya is working at Atatürk Airport in Istanbul, but his secret love is photography. He decided to combine both in his project “100 faces from 100 countries”, taking photos of various people from all kinds of countries whom he encounters at the airport.
Scientists were able to use 3D technologies to apply virtual flesh over skulls or pictures of famous people to see how they really looked like.

Bobby Neel Adams came up with his "Age Map" series in 1989. There was no Photoshop back then so he had to be creative to make a composite image of two photos. His project’s goal is to show how a person’s face change with years. He takes a photo of a person when he/she was young and put it together with a current photo of this person. This is how he did it, "In the darkroom I sized up both images to the same proportions and made prints. Once these photographs were dry I tore the most recent portrait and laid it on top of the school photo, gluing it down the rubber cement."

A new set of photos of dogs trying to catch their treats by German photographer Christian Vieler. He said, “Every shoot I am looking for that specific moment when the dog is looking as cute or funny as they can be."
