Built in 1939, this vehicle was designed to explore the Antarctica but the diesel-electric hybrid powertrain was too fragile and caused it to breakdown early on. It is thought to be buried in the Antarctic region now.

Our visitor Michael sent us these pictures and says: "Most of these old website pics date from at least 15 years ago... a time when our browsers were the old CRTs and mostly offered a mere 800x600 resolution. It was a time when Windows 95 ruled and Windows 98 was on the rise so... kick back in your dusty desk chair and enjoy the ride!"

These interesting photos show a rarely seen view of the Titanic gym that passengers used to keep fit while on board. The gum had squash courts and Turkish baths amongst other things.

This Chicago house was built in 1962 and came to the attention of Nathan Chandler, a furniture collector, 17 years ago. It was recently sold but when you have a look inside it is like a trip down memory lane to the years gone by.
