Its official with the end of January in sight that 2011 has begun and we are leaving 2010 in the dust. When we look back at 2010 what was on people’s minds?  We did a bit of looking and pulled out the top ten searched words on Yahoo.  We always seem to use Google for everything, so we thought we’d find out what folks were doing on Yahoo. What they searched for and found.

These are some advertisements that are placed in the most inappropriate places. Typically, the advertisement is placed next to a news item where the two subjects mix about as well as oil and water. Some editors must have been very embarrassed when these advertisements were published.

Check out a very unusual restaurant where once you get out of your car and enter, you are seated in another car. This is the Cars Dream Restaurant. If you are a car fanatic you will love this place.

American student Alex Eylar is a big Lego fan. He has a huge collection of 30,000+ Lego parts and pieces that he used to brick together scenes from popular movies. You can see what he’s got after the jump.

This is one of the best optical illusions I’ve ever seen, maybe because it’s pretty cool and because it took me about 5 minutes to see the real thing.

This is a very interesting project titled L.A Cultura that was documented by photographer Andres Herren. Although the gangsters in LA are responsible for much of the violence there, they do live by a code that includes loyalty, honesty, and love. They also like tattoos, a lot.

These cleaners are clearly fearless. They do their jobs from so far up that people look like ants to them. They clean everything from the Eiffel Tower to Mount Rushmore to high rise windows and everything in between.

Big Ben

This is one incredible high-speed laser camera for macro photography. It is only because of the technological advances that have been made recently that we are able to view such small objects in such great detail. This camera gear is truly amazing.

This guy is just a little weird. He has thought up the strangest thing to do in the rain. Surely the people who see him perform this act must think he is nuts. Who knows, maybe its something that is in the water.
