I am sure that most of us imagine children’s books in colorful and bright covers that teach kids to behave and respect others. However modern and even some of the old books are concentrated on other things like sex and drugs; authors even use curse words to get your attention. We have already posted examples of unconventional books. This is another collection of pictures that is devoted to so-called inappropriate books for children. 
This is a series of photos taken by American photojournalist Steve McCurry. It is sad to see children whose destiny was to take guns and fight instead of playing with toys. These children are robbed of the most wonderful time in their lives – their childhood…
Watching celebrities on news and in the movies, I always wonder what their children are like. If you want to get acquainted with Madonna’s, Jim Carrey’s, Kim Basinger’s and many other famous people’s kids, check these pictures out.  This is the reality of suburbs and slums of the city which will host Olympics in 2016. As you can see from these pictures, the dark side of this beautiful city is shown. The police have long ago lost any control in these areas. Now it is drug dealers and criminal groups who are reigning there. Apart from adult drug addicts, you can also see children wandering the streets looking for crack or other drugs. Very sad reality… Similar post: Slum War in Rio de Janeiro  Yesterday we posted beautiful babies asleep, today the post is about children from the past and the way they were. There’s something mysterious in the vintage pictures and it acts as a magnet that can make us look at them for a long minutes. I don’t know about you, but that how it happens with me. I just love old pictures that made it through history to reach us and can tell a thing or two…  Look how small children are faced with the first failures in their life. And let this be the first and last failures occurring on their path ;)) Well, let’s see this funny selection and don’t forget about the first part: There’s always a first time for everything (42 pics)   I put the word “buses” in quotes on purpose, because to call this buses is really difficult. In short, there are different means of transport in the following of the post, in which Indian kids are taken to school. Very positive and mood rising, so go inside the post to see ))  Orphans aged from 7 to 18 learn Muay Thai in this school and not only. In the first half of the day, they learn in a regular school and the second part of the day is devoted entirely to martial arts. They often participate in different competitions and all the prizes go to the needs of the school. All little boys dream of becoming future champions and I wish all their dreams came true, they deserve it ))  Well ok, it was Halloween, everyone wants to be disguised in a cool costume, but why on Earth they would want to disguise children like this? It looks really creepy and scary. At the same time, it’s true, it’s the purpose of Halloween to get the creepiest costume, I guess. Anyways, it looks cool, even better than in the movies ;))  Children’s books are very important for kids to develop good reading skills, values and to understand different things of life. If most of the time those books are very colourful, with animals and everything… and are dealing with simple matters, there’re some other books for children that are rather unconventional. Now, you can find children’s book about prison, drugs…etc. So, let’s see some of them… It Hurts When I Poop!  Just look how children are transported home from one kindergarten. I definitely wouldn’t want my child to go to that kindergarten ;)  Author’s imagination is very boisterous, hope he didn’t learn it from his own experience )) In any case, it’s good to take a look, maybe it will be of use to someone in the future   This landfill is located in one of the poorest areas of Phnom Penh city, Cambodia. It became a home for about two thousand people who simply have nowhere to go. And the most awful thing, is that children have to start their life journey in this disgusting mess…(and there are about 600 children there).  Palestinian children are trained force of will, walking on knives and broken glass at the martial arts club in Beit Lahia. I can’t even imagine what they will be able to do later ))  Incredible photo essay of a photographer Luiz Santos who made this project in order to show the situation of women in Brazil prisons and their children that live with them in prison and who are exposed to “violence, drug use and poor hygiene.” A prisoner has arrived one day prior my first day in the prison. On visit days she is kept locked in a small pavilion as she does not have friends or relatives in town. Some prisoners are from distant villages and relatives cannot afford to travel to the prison. Some others are simply abandoned.  This is a collection of photos taken by Achim Lippoth, a German photographer and film director best known for using child models to stage scenes from everyday life. A load of cuteness inside the post…  Millions of children around the world suffer from poverty, violence and diseases, many of them have to work hard. Many people don’t care about this and it is terrible. Frankly, my heart bleeds seeing these kids, who from an early age had to deal with this cruel world.  Recently, a strange robot could have been seen on the streets of a Japanese city. Everything was fine, a crowd of curious children started to gather around the robot and then… OMG! Well, see for yourself.  Very cute pictures of fathers with their children. It is something usual to see a mother with her child on a picture, but when you see a father so loving and caring, it is someway even cuter. And sometimes, when they play with their children, they also remind ‘big kids’ themselves :)  Stop for a while and discover the World of IZI!
