If you are in Buenos Aires, you might want to drop by in Barrio Norte. This is where one of the most stunning bookstores in the world, the El Ateneo Grand Splendid, can be found. The bookstore is built within the almost century-old Grand Splendid Theatre, which opened in 1919. Since then the place has undergone a few transformations. At some point, it was converted into a movie theater, and in 2000, it was converted into the El Ateneo Grand Splendid bookstore. In 2008, El Ateneo Grand Splendid was named the second most beautiful bookstores in the world by The Guardian.

Photographer Doug Battenhausen has a thing for the Internet’s lost pictures. He goes through archives and abandoned accounts to hunt down amateur pictures that captured unusual moments, and collects them on his “Internet History” blog.
