Gwyneth Paltrow has certainly come a long way. From the 1990s with her long light brown hair in 1995 when she got her first movie role all the way up to 2010 when she starred in “Country Strong”. She is beautiful and quite an actress.

Seeing these luxurious pictures, I can understand now why first class is the most expensive class of accommodation on an airplane. This part of the plane looks more like a hotel. It should be comfortable flying this way.

This is a new compilation of beautiful and impressive space photos taken by Colonel Douglas H. Wheelock and posted on his Twitter account. This time he shows us pictures from his space mission up to November 25, 2010, when his crew safely landed their Soyuz spacecraft in Kazakhstan, and many wonderful photographs of Earth taken from space.

Cats just love to sneak around, hiding wherever they can and just sit there thinking no one will notice them. I guess cats will be cats.

This is a somewhat humorous but very interesting cartoon about three rocks. It starts off rather silly but after a while it becomes very philosophical. It is amazing what you can learn from three rocks and how many applications can be derived from such a simple concept.

The CH-47 Chinook helicopter is made by Boeing and has a top speed of 196 mph which was the fastest than any other attack helicopters during the 1960’s. It is one of the few aircraft of that era that is still in production and front line service with over 1,179 built to date. Today it is powered by two 4,733hp Honeywell engines and has a top speed of 200 mph.

The strong storm that hit the state of Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday (11) left hundreds dead and thousands of homeless survivors and displaced people, mainly in the mountainous region. The cityes of Nova Friburgo, Teresopolis and Petrópolis were most affected. Services such as water, electricity and telephone were stopped, roads were blocked, bridges collapsed and were isolated neighborhoods.

These photos were taken by photographer Frederic Delangle. They are of the Indian city of Ahmedabad. The project is named “No life Ahmedabad last night”, as at night the city is quiet and empty although during the daytime it’s crowded and noisy. It took the photographer between 5 and 10 minutes of exposure to get an image.

In the Tibetan Gaden Shartse Monastery that is located in India, four of the seven Tibetan Monks make traditional sand paintings at the Cozmic Cafe in Placerville that are known as a sand mandala. The Monks raise money to educate local about the Tibetan and Buddhist cultures and for their monastery. The sand paintings are very beautiful and look like they are very tedious to make.
