WTF were they thinking?
The Geelong Cup is a Thoroughbred horse race which is held in Australia. Racegoers like to put on their most extravagant outfits and flaunt them in front of everybody. It also involves a lot of booze for some and a party-like behavior.
A photographer captured the moment when a big wave rolled in on a slipway and dragged this woman into the sea at Bridlington harbor. Luckily for her, some brave souls jumped into the sea and pulled her away before the Humber Coastguard arrived.
While Syria is ravaged by war, the relatives of the men who helped establish today's Syrian regime get their kicks from living a luxurious life in London and Paris after fleeing the country. They sleep safely in their huge mansions, drive expensive supercars, have all they need and even more. Basically, they live in a whole other world compared to their compatriots.
