Some of the most touching moments in the United States Presidents are shown in these photos taken by Charles Ommaney. It is sometimes difficult to remember that, like movie stars, some of the country’s greatest leaders are just people too. Kind of makes you wonder what they are thinking during these reflective moments. ![]() ‘Portraits of Power’ is a photo project of Platon, a staff photographer working for The New Yorker. He took great portraits of various presidents, prime ministers, dictators… during a meeting of the United Nations in New York. Watch them, it’s interesting, and maybe you will learn some stuff… ![]() ![]() The plane for the President of the United States. Just look at this plane, everything you need is inside. Comfortable and classy… ![]() But not the presidential one. This White House is just a scale-down replica of the presidential mansion. It is located in suburban Atlanta. Its owner, an American-Iranian - Fred Milani, has lived in it for 7 years but he has recently put it on sale for $9.88 million. Take a look. ![]() It should remind you the post we made in April on people who look exactly the same in all pictures. If you haven’t seen it yet, look at it, it’s pretty fun. ![]() Here’s Queen Elizabeth. It seems that she’s been here forever, ‘cause since my very young age, I heard of her, read news, learned history with her in it )) And presidents change so quickly that once they get into history books there’s already another one in the office ;) So, here’s a set of pictures with Queen Elizabeth and 11 presidents. Queen Elizabeth with George W. Bush ![]() This mobile house is called president-suite for a reason. First of all, its surface is of 969 sq ft and it has everything to meet your needs. You can go on vacation and still be able working as, besides sleeping room, living room and bathroom, it also has an office. And one of the other particularities that it has, it comes with modularity in design. And of course, it is comfortable. ![]() On 8 July, the G8 summit was opened and the first and interesting pictures have emerged. Look at the Russian president Dmitry Medvedev, it seems that he is very drunk (or maybe it's just a bad photo angle?) Then, look at how Barack Obama ignored the handshake of Silvio Berlusconi (or perhaps he did not notice it, who knows). ![]() Not long ago it’s been 100 days since Barack Obama took office. Much has been made since. Let’s look behind the "scenes" of the White House and see what a hard work it is to be the US President. ![]() The day before yesterday morning in Manhattan, New Yorkers had a light scare as they saw the US president's official airliner accompanied by two fighter jets flying at low altitude near the Statue of Liberty and the skyscrapers. Office workers stormed out of the buildings. In fact, all this flyover was a photo op of the presidential airplane in front of national landmarks as a advertising campaign. Apparently, the local authorities were not notified and the New York mayor said that it was “insensitive” to do that, because of the September 11, 2001 attacks. Look at the photos and a video taken by witnesses of this event inside the post. This photo was taken on a mobile phone. Doesn’t it give an impression of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center? ![]() |
