Royal Caribbean's 'Symphony of the Seas' is currently docked in Malaga, Spain, where it looks like a giant among Malaga’s tiny apartment blocks. The ship weighs 228,000 tons, and at 362 meters long it is just 20 meters shorter than the Empire State Building in New York. “Symphony of the Seas” has a total eight decks and enough room on board to accommodate 8,000 people. Along with having 20 restaurants, there will be more than six bars including one where robots prepare the cocktails. Other attractions include a zip wire, ice rink, mini golf course, climbing walls, surf simulator and a full-size basketball court.

The world's most expensive countries to live in were calculated by MoveHub, a company dedicated to helping people move abroad, in a new survey. They based their assessment on a range of costs, such as the price of groceries, transport, bills, restaurants and how much renting somewhere to live is. These figures are then compiled into an index, comparing each country to New York, which has an index of 100.

The house is in Bel Air, Los Angeles and costs a whopping $250 million. With it handbag tycoon and owner-developer Bruce Makowsky dethroned the previous record-holder, a $195 million mega-mansion in Manalapan, Florida. The 38,000-square-foot mansion, which comes with custom-made luxury furnishings, houses 12 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, three kitchens, a bowling alley, a movie theater, an 85-foot infinity pool with its own bar, and a candy room filled with $200,000 worth of treats. Makowsky also included a car collection worth $30 million and 130 works of art, and topped his billionaire's paradise with a helicopter. The cost also encompasses seven live-in employees who will work at the property full-time.

Of course, no businessman in his right mind will ever sell the product for the cost of its making. Because there are other costs too, and he needs some profits for himself as well. But sometimes, the price mark-ups are just getting ridiculous. In some cases, the additional products compensate the low mark-up of the main product, and in other cases it’s just the brand that you pay for.

The house was designed by famous architect Antti Lovag and built in 1984 and acquired by Pierre Cardin in 1992. This unusual residence of 1200 m2 has a 500-seat amphitheater, a reception room, a panoramic lounge, 10 suites as well as gardens and swimming pools. It is worth $456 million and is Europe's most expensive home.
